Olive Oil Conference 2013 to Teach Olive Oil Health Benefits and More

Olive Oil 2013 Conference

We love using olive oil when it comes to lighting up the barbecue and cooking some good old fashioned red meat delights. It’s great to use whether you’re brushing it on the grill, putting it on the meat itself or adding it to the side salad you’ve got waiting on the table nearby. Olive oil health benefits are widely known; it’s full of polyphenols and antioxidants, both of which are known for their health benefits. We think that getting a quality olive oil is the right way to go about it, and extra virgin olive oil is by far the best. That’s why we’re delighted to see that there is a conference that’s specifically dealing with it; the Olive Oil Conference 2013.

We’re definitely thinking about popping along to the conference, which takes place on the 18th and 19th June, because we know exactly what all the fuss is about and how good fresh and quality olive oil is as it dances about on our tongues. While the first day of the conference is for those in the food industry and other interested parties, the second day is open to the general public and will give you the opportunity to take part in olive oil tasting workshops as well as being able to buy the products on display directly from the producer for the best price.

Tasting these delightful products isn’t the only thing on offer though; you’ll learn about olive oil health benefits, learning how to incorporate the uses of olive oil in a Michelin Star dishes cooking demonstration to be able to replicate them at home, and the tips and secrets for the best use of olive oil in medicine, the home and in beauty. As you can tell, there’s a lot more to olive oil than you may have first realised!

Olive Oil Healthy Benefits

For people involved in the trade or food industry, whether you own a restaurant or use olive oil as a chef, there are a lot of extra benefits to. The conference will discuss the usage of olive oil within the catering industry and the best olive oil to use to ‘suit the individual needs of a dish’. They’ll be plenty of speakers talking about different aspects of the olive oil industry too; such as professors and business leaders discussing the latest in research on the health benefits of olive oil, why Italian olive oils remain high quality and teaching British chef’s the Italian chef’s way of using olive oil. Finally there are plenty of opportunities to network with other people within your industry.

If you’re interested in any of these topics then the show is definitely one for you to attend, and we’re hoping to learn a lot from it – especially when it comes to using olive oil within tasty barbecued foods!
